Ten weeks of free counseling for your family

Thrive Family is a free, 10-week program for parents and children ages 8 to 17 in the Dallas area. You'll work with a licensed counselor on the things that are hardest right now: talking to each other without it turning into a fight, handling anger and big emotions, parenting a child who has been through something difficult, and rebuilding a relationship with a child you've been separated from.

There is no cost, no insurance requirement, and no application for financial assistance. You do not need to have it together to come. That's the point.

What a week looks like

Every week is built by our counseling staff around the same goal: stronger relationships at home, and skills parents can use right away.

1. You arrive together

Then you split up. Parents go with parents, kids go with kids their own age. Every group is led by a licensed counselor.

2. Same topic, every group

Taught in the way that fits that age. A parent and a ten-year-old work on the same thing at the same time, in the language each of them needs.

3. You come back together

Talk through what you each worked on, and leave with something specific to try before the next week.

These are the situations we built this program for. Meeting one of them doesn't mean anything is wrong with your family.

You have a criminal record, or you're on probation or parole

You have an open CPS case, or you've had one in the past

Your children were removed, or you're working toward reunification

You don't have insurance, or paying for counseling isn't realistic
