Every gift keeps our sliding scale open, so cost is never the reason a Dallas family goes without counseling. Communities Foundation of Texas covers all fees, so 100% of what you give reaches Thrive.

Here's what it's for, and how it works.
What is North Texas Giving Day?
A one-day regional giving event run by Communities Foundation of Texas, now in its seventeenth year. Thousands of nonprofits across twenty North Texas counties take part, and donors give to the causes they choose through a single site. Thrive is one of them.
When you can give?
Early giving is open now and runs through 16 September. Giving day itself is Thursday 17 September, from 6 a.m. to midnight. An early gift counts exactly the same as one made on the day, so there's no reason to wait if the 17th is busy for you.
Why give there rather than here?
Communities Foundation of Texas covers every processing fee, so all of what you give reaches Thrive. Gifts of $25 or more are also eligible for bonus funds and prizes that CFT distributes to participating nonprofits. A gift made on our own donate page during this window doesn't qualify for any of that.
Where your gift goes at thrive?
Into the sliding scale, so families pay what they can and giving covers the rest. It also keeps the Thrive Family Program free, ten weeks with parents and children ages 8 to 17 at no cost to the family. Thrive is a 501(c)(3), EIN 83-0882008, and gifts are tax-deductible where allowed by law.
Can't give right now?
There are three other things that genuinely help.
Send it to one person
Giving day spreads through people forwarding it, not through the platform. One share from someone who knows us is worth more than anything we can post.
Ask your employer
A lot of companies match employee gifts and most people never check. Your giving day receipt is usually all their form asks for.
Give monthly instead
Steady giving is what lets us commit to a family for ten weeks. That runs year-round through our own donate page.
